Richard W. Laubach is known for his tightly rendered realistic watercolor paintings of people, including children, and animals. His primary focus is decorative portraiture which he describes as visual storytelling. Through a keen sense of composition, color and imagery, he depicts his subjects within vignettes of their personal surroundings and interests. He has received numerous accolades for his paintings and has appeared in invitational solo shows at major commercial and university galleries. Consider a portrait of your children and grandchildren or a portait of your pet. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Philadelphia Watercolor Society and the Baltimore Watercolor Society.
